While I never watched Angel, his character always annoyed me somewhat, I think one of the
main reasons it was taken off is that David Boreanz wanted to move on. At least that's what I
gathered from what I read about it.
Oddly enough I think reality tv does have a bad effect on other tv shows. The ones that seem to be
doing the best are ones that are close to reality tv, trying to show things that really happen
without it being some camera crew following a person.
People like making fun of others and with their natural ego they think they could do much better
than someone else.
For example, my father who is very smart always says he could never go on a gameshow but proceeds
to say at times that a contestant is dumb. Watch Survivor with him and he'll sit there the whole
time making comments about how someone was stupid or that person was an idiot or that was fixed or
blah blah blah. It's quite annoying. Jeopardy is near impossible to watch with him as he blurts
out the answer without giving anyone a chance to think.
However, if I tried to get him to watch Gilmore Girls he probably wouldn't say a word. I know he
watches Smallville at times, a show I don't like...tired of Superman related things, and I never
hear him complain or point out the things that don't make sense or anything like that.
It really seems to make script writing or acting or even just presenting an idea for a tv show all
that much more harder. Had a show like Angel been produced when my Mom was young, the 60s, I think
it would've run longer. The only show that I can think of that even had a vampire on it was Dark
Shadows, she still watches reruns of it at times and it makes no sense to me.
Now with reality series it seems that good series are burnt out and dying or having to deal with
more serious issues, Everwood's synopsis was having a young girl find a vibrator under a single
mom's bed. 7th Heaven started out dealing with one of their children possibly having sex while
attending college. They've been dealing with the sex issues a lot so far which seems to be related to
the times.

Don't hate me! I'm obsessed with "The Apprentice (2)"! I can't help it! I swear it's the only one I promise! If you want, you can send me to a rehabilitation center. I promise to be good! Just don't hate me!!!!!.....And let me at least finish watching it til the end!!
